In 1946 James Bullough Lansing, an engineer working in Bell Telephone Laboratories, created his own company - Lansing Sound, Inc. that was founded to make home audio systems. 10 years earlier James was chosen to design the first sound system for the first movie with audio in the history and that inspired him to create his own technology. For past 70 years when you went to the cinema, a concert or a big event there was a 80% chance that the sounds came from a JBL speaker.
