Who or what is your constant source of innovation?
Traveling is definitely a very important source. I love exploring cultures, historic landmarks, hotels and trendy restaurants. Nature too has always been my sanctuary and another source of inspiration.
What was the creative vision behind your latest collection?
For our latest collection, GEM, which is about to be launched, the vision was to reimagine the elegance and luxury behind jewelry design.

Elegant, luxurious, timeless.
How does the brand integrate sustainability within the creation process?
We believe in local sourcing to keeps our carbon footprint as low as we can and we use wood obtained from protected forests, specifically created for this purpose. Plus, we create durable, solid and timeless pieces that will last a lifetime.
What is your secret to great design?
For me, the first version of a project is not a drawing, but words, so as to not get influenced by images one has already seen. Then I translate concepts into shapes and materials... I don't know if it's a secret, but it's what I do.
What is the inspiration behind the new Papadatos collection?
The aim of each collection is to create timeless pieces. To do this, the keyword is 'identity': to create pieces that are recognizable and represent the brand.
How do you think your designs cater to homes in the Middle East?
Homes in the Middle East are inhabited by people of elegant taste, looking for well-designed and carefully crafted objects. Papadatos' collections are perfect for them.
What should one keep in mind when redecorating?
The quality of a space is linked to every single element and the relationships that can be created. Each object has a role and determines the identity of the space and those who live in it.
What has been the highlight of your journey, with Papadatos, so far?
There have been many important moments... I remember the first sofa we designed together, the Upper, and the Aria outdoor collection that was born one evening in Athens at dinner in front of the Greek sea.
