CREATION
One word says it all: Hermessence. Rose Ikebana, the first Hermessence created in 2004, is inspired by the Japanese floral art of ikebana. For perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, "the traditional Japanese art of ikebana – arranging bouquets of cut flowers and leaves using very few elements – corresponded perfectly to a form of expression I could transpose into a fragrance."

THE OBJECT
Designed by Fred Rawyler, the blood-red bottle evokes the rich colors of rose petals. For the Rose Ikebana limited edition, artist Shinsuke Kawahara revisits Japanese floral art combining playfulness with poetry. Paying tribute to the beauty of nature, the bottle features a moment of affinity between a rabbit and a rose.
